Richard & Karen Helsley
Following long and successful careers as professional fiddler/violinists and public education orchestra directors, this husband and wife duo has turned their tenured hobby of beekeeping into a family business in an effort to further pursue their passion for keeping honeybees and to educate and assist the public with bee related needs, services, and products.
Richard is the 6th generation of Texas Beekeepers in his family dating back to his 3x Great-Grandfather Wilhelm Bruckisch. Bruckisch is credited with bringing European bees from Silesia to the Guadalupe River Valley in New Braunfels, Texas in 1853 to assist with fruit crop pollination.
Karen and Richard look forward to making their own contributions to the world of Texas Beekeeping through the work of FiddleBee Co.

FiddleBee Co. is based out of New Braunfels, Texas with our primary bee yards located in Bandera County. We operate in multiple counties with hive leases and bee removals within approximately 40 miles of New Braunfels.
